  • Key identification features : Tree, up to 12 m high; Leaves dark to light green, glossy, 150-205 cm, flat, leaflets 80-115 pairs, 15.5–27 × 1–1.6 cm, midvein raised on both surfaces, petiole 45-65 cm long, glabrous; Male cone cylindrical, orange, about 25 cm long, cone axis 3-5 cm long; Microsporophylls 6.7-7 cm long; Megasporophylls 35-45 cm long, bears 2-3 pairs of ovules, golden brown, woolly or densely tomentose, abaxial surface green, glabrous at the top, base semi-orbicular to orbicular, upper portion triangular, with abruptly long-acuminate apices, possess two lateral horn-like structures, about 0.4–0.7 cm long, ovules shortly stalked, ovoid, bright green when young, turns greenish-brown when mature; Seeds ovoid, 5.5–6.5 × 3.5–4.0 cm.
