  • Key identification features : Shrub or small tree, 3-5 m high; Leaves elliptic-ovate to obovate or elliptic-lanceolate, 7–22 × 3–10 cm, base cuneate to obtuse, apex acute, margin entire, petiole 1-1.5 cm long; Inflorescence terminal corymbiform cymes, up to 20cm across; Flowers white, 2.5–3.5 × 0.8–1.2 cm, calyx 4-lobed, corolla 2.5–3.5 cm long, white to pale pink, lobes oblong; Fruit subglobose, about 1 cm across, red, turns purplish-black when ripe; Seeds 2, planoconvex.
