  • Key identification features : Shrub or tree, 2-5 m tall; Branches glabrous; Leaves obovate, lanceolate or elliptic-obovate, 13–19.5 × 6–7 cm, base acute, apex acuminate, margins entire, surface glabrous, petiole 5-6 mm long, stipules triangular, about 8 mm long, glabrous outside, hairy inside; Inflorescence compound, pubescent, bracts 2-5 mm long; Flowers nearly 200 per head, arranged in trichasial branching, pedicel about 2.5 mm long, pubescent; Calyx about 1.8 cm long, pubescent, with triangular lobes, corolla 2-2.5 cm long, tube glabrous, lobes oblong, anthers about 4 mm long, style about 2 cm long, glabrous, stigmatic arma about 2 mm long.
