  • Key identification features : Tree; Young branches hairy; Leaves ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, base acute or rounded, apex obtuse to bluntly acuminate, 9-14 x 4-6 cm, appressed pubescent below in young leaves, petiole about 2 mm long, glabrous; Flowers solitary or in pairs, axillary, pedicel about 3 mm long, pubescent, bracts minute; Sepals very small, connate at base, ovate or rounded, pubescent outside; Petals minutely pubescent, outer petals smaller, ovate, inner petals triangular to ovate; Stamens many, small, cuneate, connectives flat-topped; Ripe carpels with long stalks; Seeds 1-2.
