  • Key identification features : Tree, up to 30m high; Leaves lanceolate-elliptic, 9-24 cm long, 2-5 cm wide, base cuneate, margin entire, apex acute to shortly acuminate, surface discolorous; Inflorescence bears more than 50 flowers; Flowers 18-20 mm long, about 5 mm diameter, pedicel 20-30 mm long; Sepals lanceolate-ovate, 5-6.4 mm long; Corolla primarily white, sometimes pinkish-white towards the tips of the lobes internally, yellowish towards the base of the lobes, tube 8-12 mm long, lobes lanceolate, 7-10 mm long; Fruit oblong-globose, 9-11 cm long, 5-5.5 cm wide, 4.5-4.8 cm thick, apex pointed at the end away from the micropyle, blue when ripe.
