  • Key identification features : Evergreen tree, up to 27m high; Crown dense, bushy, conical or rounded; Bark exudes dark grey gummy drops when cut, trunk with light brown, fissured bark; Branchlets often pendulous, glabrous, angular or flattened; Leaves opposite, petiolate, blades leathery, ovate-oblong to lanceolate, 10–30 × 4–8 cm, apex tapering to blunt; Inflorescence branched, 4.5-13cm long, usually borne on twigs behind the leaves; Flowers very small, light yellowish-green to light yellow, turns brown with age; Fruit fleshy, nearly spherical, 3.5–5 × 3–4 cm, yellow to orange when ripe, pulp swee to sour in taste, fruit has a faint turpentine-like aroma.
