- Key identification features : Branchlets grey, about 3mm thick, become powdery or scurfy with age; Leaves bipinnate, common petiole about 15mm long, secondary petioles 2.3cm long, slender, glabrous, each secondary petiole bears 2 leaflets, leaflets alternate, symmetrical, lanceolate, base acutely, attenuate, apex acuminate-obtuse, persistent, firm, somewhat leathery, shining above, brown when dry, 7–9 cm long, 3–4 cm wide; Fruiting inflorescence about 10 cm long, bears several heads; Fruit one-seeded legume, orbicular, strongly convex, about 3cm in diameter, three-seeded legume: oblong, about 10cm long, 4cm wide, 2cm thick, straight, strongly convex, base stipitate, apex abruptly apiculate, surface smooth with loosely reticulate veins; Seeds 1-3 per legume, subglobose or compressed-truncate, 2.5-3cm long, 2-2.5cm wide, seperated by false septa.
