  • Key identification features : Shrub or tree, 5-6m tall; Leaves elliptic, apex acuminate, base attenuate, margin entire, pinnately nerved, up to 10 × 4.5 cm in size, petiole about 2cm long, stipules indistinct; Inflorescence terminal, composed of racemes bearing a few umbels, only flowers of the terminal umbels are fertile, peduncle glabrous; Flowers small, pedicel glabrous, about 1cm long, accrescent; Calyx glabrous, teeth indistinct; Ovary 5-locular, disc plano-convex, styles 5, free, initially erect, later divergent; Fruit oblong, 7-9mm long, mesocarp not very thick, pyrenes parchment-like.
