  • Key identification features : Leaves pinnately compound, with 8-10 pairs of leaflets, rachis not winged, petiole and rachis, especially in the lower part, rather densely covered with greyish-brown felted hairs; Leaflets about 3cm long, approximately 3 times longer than broad, apex shortly pointed, margins sharply serrate, entire at base, lower surface rust-brown hairy along the midrib, near the base, otherwise glabrous; Stipules very narrow, long, almost thread-like, glabrous, soon deciduous; Inflorescence very loose corymbs, about 6cm broad, inflorescence axes almost glabrous, pedicel and flower axes glabrous; Flowers about 12 mm in diameter, sepals triangular, pointed, glabrous externally, felted internally, with few small marginal teeth, petals red, longer than stamens, styles usually 5, sometimes 3 or 4, apex of the ovary woolly-felted; Fruit globose, red, about 12mm diameter.
