  • Key identification features : Young branchlets and petioles pubescent, becomes glabrous with age; Stipules small, lanceolate or linear, persistent; Leaves bipinnate, pinnae arranged in 2-4 pairs, rarely 5-6 pairs; Leaflets numerous, oblong-linear, base strongly inequilateral, glabrous, margin ciliate; Inflorescence peduncles solitary or fascicled, arise from upper leaf axils; Flowers glabrous; Fruit pod, glabrous, apex obtuse or ending in a curved mucro, valves thin with thickened margin.
