  • Key identification features : Small tree, 12 feet high, 6 inches in diameter, very finely pubescent, young shoots and leaves densely rufous-tomentose; Leaves pinnae 3 pairs, common petiole 4-6 inches long; Leaflets 5 or 6 pairs, elliptical, oblique at base, rounded at both ends, 1-2 inches long, sparsely pubescent; Inflorescence raceme, terminal upon a short branch, shorter than the leaves; Fruit pod, flat, thin-coriaceous, indehiscent, glabrate, 3 inches long, 1.5 inches broad, obtuse, apiculate, abruptly narrowed at base to a short stipe or rounded, sessile, 3-5 seeded; Seeds flat, elliptical.
