  • Key identification features : Shrub or small tree, 1-6m high; Twigs initially pubescent, may become glabrate with age; Leaves bipinnate, pinnae 7-12 per leaf; Leaflets 30-50 pairs per pinna, 4-7 mm long, linear, cultriform, falcate, acute, upper surface glabrous, shining, lower surface pale green, strigose or glabrate; Inflorescence elongated, narrow panicle, peduncle short, often about 1cm long; Pedicel very short, often less than 4 mm long; Calyx about 2mm long, densely brown-tomentose; Stamens purple, 4-5cm long; Fruit pod, 8-12cm long, about 1.5cm broad, densely brown-pubescent.
