  • Key identification features : Viscid, glabrous shrub or small tree, 2-6m tall; Branchlets vernicose when young, ribs minutely tuberculate; Phyllode normally narrowly elliptic, straight to shallowly incurved, 4-8cm long, 5-11mm wide, surface glabrous, obscurely punctate, slightly roughened, often sparsely tuberculate, glands 2-3, lowermost 0–5 mm above the pulvinus, others often slightly raised; Inflorescence simple, 2 per axil or arranged as 2-headed racemes with axes up to 5 mm long, peduncles 7-16mm long, basal bract persistant; Flower heads globular, 36–46 flowers per head, bright yellow, pentamerous, sepals united; Fruit pod, linear, up to 13cm long, 5-7mm wide, thinly coriaceous, light brown when mature; Seeds longitudinally arranged, oblong-elliptic, 4.3–5 mm long, shiny, dark brown.
