- Key identification features : Shrub or tree, 3-15m high, crown wide, rounded; Leaves deciduous, imparipinnate, 8–17.6 cm long, 5.2–14 cm wide, texture membranaceous, petiole flattened, rachis narrowly winged, minutely puberulent, 7-11 leaflets, opposite, lower pairs sometimes subopposite, alnceolate, apex obtuse, surface minutely puberulent, 3–7 cm long, 5–20 mm wide, terminal leaflet 2.7–7 cm long, 5–20 mm wide; Male inflorescence: panicles up to 7cm long, often clustered, stout, branched from the base, densley flowered, pubescent, flowers red; Female inflorescence: panicles up to 15cm long, subterminal, occurring with leaves, stout and branched from the base, minutely pubescent, flowers pinkish; Fruit drupe, numerous, red to reddish, about 3mm long, mesocarp fleshy.
