  • Key identification features : Small tree; Leaves clustered near the summit of branchlets, pressed against the inflorescence, linear-oblong, apex long, narrowly acuminate, base acute, texture chartaceous to slightly coriaceous, smaller leaves 7.5 × 1.8 cm, larger leaves 13 × 3 cm, petiole 0.8-2cm long; Inflorescence clusters entirely glabrous, fascicled at summit of branchlets, 5-10cm long, lower branches 4-5 cm long, branches divergent; Flowers smaller, pedicel about 5mm long; Sepals ovate-lanceolate, long-acuminate, about 1.75 mm long; Petals ovate-lanceolate, about 5mm long, 2.-25mm wide at base, narrowing to 1 mm at apex; Floral disk cylindrical, 0.75-1mm long, marked by 5 furrows, bears 5 very short, truncate lobes, surface not papillose or glandular; Fertile stamens 2.75-3mm long, sterile stamens completely aborted or nearly without filaments.
