  • Key identification features : Shrub or small tree; Branchlets slender, glabrous, more or less striate, young branches dark brown becomes grey with age; Leaves evergreen, lanceolate or elliptic, 6–10 cm long × 1.3–2.6 cm wide, thinly coriaceous, margin entire, slightly recurved, apex very long-acuminate, acumen 1.5–2 cm long, about 2 mm wide, base broadly cuneate, upp er surface glabrous, shining olive-colored when dry, lower surface paler, distinctly punctate, petiole channelled, 7-12mm long; Inflorescence axillary, , crowded, 3 or 4 flowers per inflorescence, axillary branch short, or nearly absent, rarely elongated, leafy, peduncle 2-5mm long, slender, glabrous; Flowers tetra- or pentamerous, 5-7mm diameter, greenish-yellow, pedicel about 2mm long; Calyx about 3mm diameter, sepals suborbicular, glabrous; Petals ovate, about 2.5 mm long × 2 mm wide; Stamens slightly shorter than the petals; Pistillode somewhat lobed, truncate.
