  • Key identification features : Trees, 4-5m tall, young shoots sparsely pubescent to glabrous, branchlets glabrous; Leaves alternate, somewhat clustered at branch ends, oblong to oblong-elliptic, 12–20 × 3.5–5.5 cm, chartaceous, base acute to obtuse, apex acuminate, acumen 5-10mm long, tip acute, surface glabrous above, sparsely appressed puberulous on major nerves beneath, green when dry, non-glaucous, petiole 10-20mm long, glabrous; Inflorescence panicles, 9-15cm long, slender, sparsely branched, branches glabrous; Fruits globose, 6-8mm in diameter, fruiting pedicel 5-6mm long, slender, tepals clasping the base of fruit, refelxed at apex.
