  • Key identification features : Tree, up to 40m tall, bole straight, cylindrical; Bark smooth, thin, latex cream-coloured, abundant; Leaves broadly oval, opposite, dark green leathery, underside shows distinct pits where lateral veins meet the midrib; Flowers yellowish-white, fragrant, arranged in short, dense clusters, corolla lobes shorter than the flower tube; Fruit pair of woody, flat follicles, up to 30cm long, blunt-ended; Seeds with tuft of long white hairs at one end.
