  • Key identification features : Tree, up to 12m tall; Branchlets dark brown, puberulent to glabrous; Leaves ovate to obovate, 6–17 × 3–6 cm, surface glabrous except along veins on abaxial surface, glaucescent, apex caudate-acuminate; Inflorescence cymes puberulent, peduncle up to 3cm; Flower pedicel about 1cm, sepals ovate, about 2.5mm, corolla yellowish, rotate or subrotate, corolla tube 2-2.5mm long, corolla lobes oblong or narrowly obovate, 1.2–1.4 cm, papillate, corona 10 scales, 5 inserted at base of corolla lobes, about 6 mm, apex entire, 5 at corolla throat, about 2.5 mm, 2-cleft at apex, anthers puberulent, exserted, ovaries distinct; Fruit follicles, cylindric, distinct, up to 35 cm × 4–7 mm, lenticellate; Seeds narrowly fusiform, 1.5–2 cm long, with coma up to 4 cm.
