  • Key identification features : Tall tree, long, straight stem; Leaves narrowly ovate-cordate, seldom lobed, lower surface stellate or glandular hairs present, upper surface often glabrous; Inflorescence slender, about 25cm tall, cymes with peduncles as long as pedicels, pedicel glabrous; Calyx lobed to no more than one-third of its total length; Corolla white to purple, 8-12cm long, lower lip weakly ridged; Fruit capsule, large, 6-10cm long, wall woody, 3-6mm thick.
