  • Key identification features : Medium-sized tree, up to 18m tall, bark exudate meagre, narrow yellowish vertical stripes visible on the blaze; Leaves alternate, petiole produce milky exudate, leaf blades papery, elliptic to lance-shaped, 4–18 cm long × 1.5–6 cm wide; Flowers small, greenish-yellow, arranged in compact clusters of 1-7 flowers; Sepals ovate, 3.5–4.5 × 2.5–3.2 mm, sericeous near the apex on both inner and outer surfaces, corolla 3.4–4.5 mm long, stamens inserted about the middle of the corolla, filaments about 1mm long, anthers about 1mm long, staminodes lanceolate-liguliform, 1-1.5mm long, ovary 3.5-4.5mm long, disk adnate to ovary, densely ferruginously hirsute, style 1-1.2mm long; Fruit ovoid to globose, 1–2.2 cm long × 0.5–1.5 cm wide, purplish when ripe, contains 1-5 seeds per fruit.
