  • Key identification features : Tall tree, developing a long, straight stem; Leaves relatively narrowly ovate-cordate, seldom lobed, indumentum stellate or glandular hairs on lower surface, often glabrous above; Inflorescence cyme, peduncles as long as pedicel, branching short, flower-heads slender, about 25cm tall; Calyx lobed to not more than one-third of its length; Corolla white to purple, 8-12cm long, lower lip weakly ridged; Fruit capsule, large, 6-10cm long, wall woody, 3-6mm thick.
