  • Key identification features : Spreading mallee, up to 6m high; Bark grey to light brown; Young leaves opposite, sessile initially, later becomes alternate, petiolate, oblong-lanceolate; Adult leaves alternate, lanceolate, sometime falcate, apiculate, thick, 7–10 cm long × 1–2 cm wide, dull grey-green to blue-green, petiole channelled, 10-20mm long; Inflorescence umbels with 7-11 flowers, peduncle channelled, 5-12mm long; Flower buds conical or fusiform, grey-pink to grey-red, operculum conical, 4–8 mm long × 5–6 mm wide, hypanthium obconical, 3–4 mm long × 5–6 mm wide; Fruit truncate-pyriform or subglobular, 8–12 mm long × 10–15 mm wide, disc broad, flat or convex, overlapping valves, valves 4, small, level with or slightly exserted; Seeds D-shaped, red-brown, with serveral ridges, shortly winged along the margin.
