  • Key identification features : Shrub or small tree, 1m to 5m tall, slender branches; Bark smooth to slightly rough; Branchlets brown, reddish-brown to blackish, surface glabrous to densely pubescent, longitudinal ridges low to distinctly raised; Leaves bipinnate fern-like leaves, fine-textured, petiole glabrous to densely pubescent, bears small to prominent gland just below to halfway down from the basal pair of pinnae, pinnules 5–21 pairs per pinna, oblong to narrowly oblong, elliptic to narrowly elliptic, or narrowly ovate to lanceolate, flat to slightly recurved, glabrous or ciliate, apex mostly acute to acuminate; Inflorescence racemes; Flowers pale yellow to bright yellow; Fruit pod, straight or curved, up o 10cm long, 12-19mm wide, leathery, purplish, blackish, or reddish-brown, glabrous, margins paler, prominently raised.
