  • Key identification features : Shrub or small tree, up to 1.5-5m high, at times up to 8m high, multistemmed, at times single-stemmed, bark fissured, smaller branches smooth; Phyllodes, ascending to erect, straight to shallowly incurved, linear-filiform, terete to subterete, sometimes quadrangular or flat, apex, apex acuminate, ending in a delicately curved, non-pungent point, surface normally ciliolate, mainly on upper half, hairs sometimes restricted near the tip, finely multistriate; Inflorescence simple, spikes obloid to cylindrical, sessile, golden; Fruits pod, moniliform to submoniliform, 4-8cm long, 4-5mm wide, texture firmly chartaceous to thinly coriaceous-crustaceous, surface glabrous; Seeds globose, ovate, or oblong-elliptic, aril white.
