  • Key identification features : Shrubs or small trees, reaching up to 5 meters in height; Leaves: lanceolate in shape, measuring 1.5–2 mm in length; Inflorescences are 2–5 cm long and 4–5 mm wide; Bracts are longer than the pedicels but do not reach the tip of the calyx; Flowers are 5-parted; Sepals are 0.5–1.5 mm long, with entire or slightly toothed margins; Petals are elliptic to ovate, measuring 1.5–2 mm; there are 5 antisepalous stamens, with filaments fused to the lobes of the nectar disc, all arising from the edge of the disc
