  • Key identification features : Trees 8–20 m tall, dbh 10–30 cm; trunk fluted at base; bark dark grey, finely granular-fissured to smooth, slash pinkish-brown turning dark red-brown, fragile; branchlets thick, glabrous to green; leaves elongate-elliptic, 8–12 cm, broader in upper half, glabrous, minutely toothed, dark green above, light beneath; veins prominent in 10–12 pairs, tertiary veins parallel; flowers dirty white in dense axillary clusters, buds green; fruits light green.
