  • Key identification features : Tall butressed tree to 18-20 m. Outer bark brown, regularly fissured. White exudate from cut bark. Wood pinkish red. Branchlets ferrugineus. Leaves clusterd, glossy green above, pale green beneath, secondary and tertiary veins indistinct. Buds brownish-ferruginous; Calyx 2 whorls of 3 each, pale green; flowers white; ovary green with fine brown simple hairs. Fruits in a cluster, smooth, obovoid with persistent style.
