  • Key identification features : Unarmed tree to 15m tall with resinous young parts. Branches sparse. Leaves opposite, 12–15 cm, cuneate-oblong, tapering at the base, ribbed, with a short acumen; tip acute; Flowers subterminal or axillary at the end of branches, subsessile. Corolla tube cylindric, lobes 6-9. Fruit a globular, 4 cm drupe, uneven, ridged, and crowned with a long, truncate calyx tube.
