  • Key identification features : Shrub or small trees 3-4 m tall; twigs mid-brown to grey brown and lenticellate. Leaves elliptic to oblong-elliptic, 10–20 x 5–10 cm, base rounded or obtuse, dentate, with coarse or occasionally minute teeth. Lateral nerves 8-10 pairs, prominent beneath; blades mid-green above, pale green below. Inflorescence terminal paniculate; peduncle, pedicel and calyx dull pale greenish yellow; anthers depressed elliptic, ca 0.1 mm. Pistil about half the length of calyx; corolla white. Fruit globose and green when young.
