  • Key identification features : Small tree, branchlets whitish; leaves elliptic, acute at both ends, lateral nerves slender; flowers small, in umbellate cymes; calyx cup-shaped, 5-6 toothed; petals 5-6, much exceeding the calyx, oblong, inserted with the stamens on the disk; stamens opposite petals and concealed by them, filaments broad; ovary 3-celled, depressed, conic with 1 ovule in each cell.
