  • Key identification features : Trees to 6 m tall. Outer bark pale green, inner green. Branchets lenticellate. Leaves pinnate; leaflets large, nearly half a foot long, obovate. Petioles reddish, slightly pubescent, cylindrical, with one prominent, concave, circular gland at base. Petiolules with a gland at the tip between the two uppermost pinnae. Leaflets 3-8-paired, coriaceous, elliptic-oblong, shortly acuminate, widened at base. Panicles terminal, up to 40 cm long, rusty pubescent. Pod bivalved, spirally twisted, 7-10 cm long, 2.4 cm wide, nearly glabrous.
