  • Key identification features : Medium sized trees to 7–10 m tall; bark grey, lenticellate; branchlets and undersides of leaves rusty pubescent; leaves lanceolate, blade 4–7 cm, midrib and 6–10 pairs of secondary nerves prominent beneath along with intermediate and transverse veins; flower buds brownish green; flower heads solitary, fascicled, or in short racemes, on 1.2 cm long peduncles; involucral bracts 4; flowers 10–15 per head, on silky pedicels; perianth-segments hyaline, ciliate; filaments silky; fruit nearly globose, up to 6 per flower head.
