  • Key identification features : Trees; terminal branchlets and panicles ferruginously subtomentose; leaves oblong to ovate-oblong, 7–15 × 3–7 cm, subacute to obtusely serrulate, base subunequal, lower surface glaucous, minutely pubescent, lateral veins more numerous; inflorescence axillary panicles, 5–10 cm long, few-flowered, merging into terminal panicle, lower branches shorter and more sparsely flowered; flowers perianth lobes broadly ovate, subobtuse, bracteoles ovate-acute, concave, about half perianth tube length, outer staminodes smaller but longer-stalked.
