  • Key identification features : Mighty trees up to 30 m tall, girth up to 80 cm, bole to dbh 3 m; bark whitish to reddish-brown, scaly; outer bark 2 mm thick, inner bark reddish to khaki-yellow, ~0.5 cm thick; sapwood yellowish to khaki-pink, wood light reddish; leaves elliptic-lanceolate, membranous to leathery, 7.5–11 cm; flowers 8 mm across, greenish to yellowish with orange disc, in dense-flowered cymes on slender peduncle shorter than leaves; fruit blue-green.
