  • Key identification features : Small deciduous tree, up to 13 meters tall, diameter at breast height up to 35 cm; Young stems brownish, pubescent; Leaves pinnately compound, leaflets 15-19, oblong, 8–9 × 2–3 cm, glabrous except on the margins and midribs, base asymmetric, apex acuminate, stipules strap-shaped, about 8mm long, leaf rachis pubescent, upto 20cm long; Petiole 3-5cm long; Petiolules 3-4mm long; Pulvinus at the base of leaf stalk; Inflorescence pendulous brown pseudoracemes, up to 15 cm long, peduncle 5cm; Floral bracts oval, 1-2mm long; Pedicel upto 13mm long; Calyx brown pubescent, tube about 6mm; Corolla mauve color, standard petal white, silky on the outside, about 25mm long; Ovary about 18mm long, pubescent, 8-11 ovules; Fruit flat, dehiscent pod, 14–20 cm long, up to 21 mm wide, glabrescent.
