  • Key identification features : Small to medium tree, innovations glabrescent, young parts with coarse radiating trichomes; Leaves elliptic, glabrous, pale olive when dry, veins 8-paired, margins faintly denticulate, petiole to 1.6 cm, with 2 patelliform glands; Inflorescences terminal, subspicate, paniculate; Flowers small, ~2 mm, perianth lobes triangular, with 5 basal glands; Petals absent; Ovary lepidote, 3 styles, bifid above; Fruits dehiscent; Seeds brown, verruculose at apex, caruncle linear, ~5 × 4 mm.
