  • Key identification features : Small trees to 7 m high. Leaves elliptic, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate tip with an acute base, glabrous. Male flowers are axillary, while hermaphroditic flowers are digynous and clustered on lateral tubercles. Flowers are semi-quadrifid. Fruit globose berry, supported by persistent, spreading calyx. Seeds 4, flattened laterally.
