  • Key identification features : Small glabrous trees to 6 m, with bright green foliage; leaves elliptic or elliptic-lanceolate, acute at both ends, base oblique, upper half dentate, lateral veins faint in 4-6 pairs. Flowers in small compact axillary pedunculate cymes; calyx tube cylindrical; corolla whitish; style pale greenish, doubly forked. Fruit orange with a sticky pulp, edible but not very pleasant.
