  • Key identification features : Young stem tips are covered with fine, deciduous hairs that can be easily removed, older leaves abscise, they leave behind conspicuous petiole scars along the stem, marking previous points of leaf attachment; Leaves large, pinnately compound, arranged spirally around the stem, each leaf consists of approximately 12–14 pairs of leaflets, each leaflet reaching up to 20 cm in length, leaflets are arranged in opposite or sub-opposite pairs along the rachis.
