  • Key identification features : Trees 15–20 m tall; crown lax. Leaves 6–12 × 2–3.5 cm, oblong-lanceolate, elliptic-oblanceolate, acuminate to caudate-acuminate at apex; base rounded, obtuse, or cuneate. Inflorescence a compound umbel, repeatedly forked. Flowers ca. 0.3 cm across, pinkish violet; petals spreading or deflexed; stamens equaling the petals. Fruits ca. 0.8 cm across, purplish, globose.
