  • Key identification features : Deciduous tree up to 12 m tall; Internodes faintly angled; leaves petiolate, broadly ovate to suborbicular or oblong-ovate, 6–20 × 5–13 cm, chartaceous, base cordate, rounded or subtruncate; margin undulate, apex acuminate, upper surface glabrous, sparsely pubescent abaxially; inflorescences axillary, 3-flowered, 4–10 cm long; pedicels elongating to 3 cm in fruit; calyx lobes 6–8; petals 6–8, linear, 1.8–2.3 cm; stamens 6–8, filaments 5–6 mm, glabrous; fruit a drupe, ellipsoid, ca. 20 × 8–9 mm, uni-seeded.
