  • Key identification features : Shrubby tree, c. 6.1 m tall, obovate rounded; several trunks ascending from ground, branches ascending to spreading. Branchlets, leaves and inflorescence yellowish-tomentose. Bark whitish gray; leaves dark olive-green above, tawny beneath, narrow, elliptic to spoon-shaped, with wavy edge. Flowers profuse, pale lemon-yellow, long "tubed" with short-recurving lobes, in short compact terminal panicles. Sepals lanceolate, densely tomentose. Capsule tomentose, valves thick, woody, broad-ovate.
